Founders

Edward and Hyon first met as roommates at MIT, beginning a decades-long dialogue on engineering rigor and product innovation that eventually led to the founding of Fort Lee AI.

Edward Song and Hyon Lee, Co-founders of Fort Lee AI

Edward Song

Co-founder

Edward Song is a product leader building at the intersection of data platforms and Agentic AI. He has over a decade and a half of experience in "0 to 1" product development, starting at AVG's Innovations Lab and developing deep expertise in bringing enterprise software to market at Nitro Software. At Nitro, Edward directed the launch of the Nitro Analytics platform and led early strategic initiatives into ML and LLMs.

Most recently, he operationalized AI-native development workflows at Weller Labs. Seeing the competitive advantages of this AI-first approach firsthand inspired him to co-found Fort Lee AI, where he is now leveraging his background in data platforms and enterprise scale to define the next stage of agentic software.

Hyon Lee

Co-founder

Hyon is an engineering leader specializing in the architecture of high-stakes financial systems. He co-founded the Long-Term Stock Exchange (LTSE) with Eric Ries, where he engineered a fully regulated trading system from the ground up. This journey began with six Raspberry Pis in a hotel room and scaled into a major data center operation, maintained through a rigorous "rulebook-as-executable-tests" framework and 100% test coverage.

Following LTSE, Hyon joined Citadel to lead the modernization of their 30-year-old global position management system, replacing legacy infrastructure with a high-performance platform serving the entire firm. At Fort Lee AI, Hyon applies this philosophy of "lean rigor" to the AI stack—focusing on production-grade RAG, low-latency agentic systems, and the infrastructure economics required for true enterprise performance.
